Frequently Asked Questions

What does being Greek really mean?

Membership in a Greek letter organization is a lifetime commitment. Membership within the Greek community means working with a group of other women who can exchange dialogue and stand for common goals and ideas while being held to a much higher standard than other college students. Aside from that, Greek experience by joining a National organization is much more enriched during the college years and is a gateway to many rewards and networking connections later in life.

Will my grades be impacted by joining AST?

Academic success ia key component to being a member of Alpha Sigma Tau.  We place a value on the academic success of our members. A few ways that we support the academics of our members is through minimum grade requirements for becoming a member, holding a position, and being initiated into our chapter. We require atleast a 2.5 GPA to become a member of Alpha Sigma Tau. It is important to note that the average GPA collectively for greek life members traditionally exceeds 3.0, so you are encouraged to achieve the highest GPA possible for the best opportunity of membership.
